God isn't distant or silent. Throughout history He has spoken to ordinary people, and we believe He still does. Sometimes through Scripture, sometimes through other people, also through nature, arts, dreams and visions. 

Our hope is that everyone learns to recognise His voice for themselves.

We believe the universe isn't an accident. Behind beauty and creativity, is a Creator who made all this with purpose. 

Knowing God begins not with earning His attention, but discovering that He has always been there.

The Bible tells one story, from creation to restoration, revealing who God is and what it means to be fully human.

It isn't simply a rulebook. It offers wisdom for everyday life and invites us into a relationship with Jesus. It’s also a means by which God speaks, and helps us to recognise what He sounds like.

We believe that becoming more like Jesus doesn’t mean erasing who we are. The Holy Spirit awakens us to who we were created to become, giving each person gifts to bless others and participate in God's work.

We love to see people learn to recognise their God-given gifts, and grow in them. 

At the centre of Christianity isn't simply a religion, but a person.
This person is God, who came to Earth in human form. He is the ultimate example of sacrificial love. Through His death and resurrection, He has conquered evil. We look to Him as King, and welcome His Kingdom on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Through Jesus we discover forgiveness, hope and a life that is continually being transformed by God's love.

None of us have everything figured out.

House of Word & Spirit exists to create spaces where people can explore faith honestly, ask difficult questions, pray together, learn to hear God's voice and grow in the gifts He has given us.
